In New Zealand Radiata Pine grows remarkably quickly. From seedlings to mature harvestable trees in 25 years. From original plantings in the 1920's the resource has been steadily managed and expanded. Successive new generation planting, combined with research and development of forestry expertise, has ensured a continuous supply of sustainable renewable timber resources.
EUROCELL and WPI have created a marketing partnership totally dedicated to providing Asia with a long-term reliable timber supply service. Based in the North Island of New Zealand, this network of 'sawn timber production' draws on a huge depth of Radiata Plantation Forest Resource.
Two entire forests in the centre of the island: the 'Karioi' and the 'Waimarino' forests feed logs to three sawmills with a capacity of producing 150,000 metres-cubed per year.
The Tangiwai Sawmill situated among these forests is linked by modern road and rail networks to the processing site in Masterton and the Upper Hutt Sawmill in the South and on to the Port of Wellington where shipping to Asia is in operation on a regular cycle.
The three modern plants offer a full range of sawn timber grades and sizes. Efficient treatment facilities operate side by side with kiln drying, dry-shed storage and machining.
EUROCELL has offices throughout Asia and will act as your guide and assist you to provide a one-stop solution to your timbers and wood products needs.
