CHILE LENGA |

Lenga (Nothofagus Pumilio) is a native Chilean hardwood that grows mainly in the southern tip of South America. This species is known in many countries as Chilean Cherry or Fireland Cherry. It has a white to yellowish color sapwood and heartwood of a pale to dark pink tone. It is a noble wood that offers excellent conditions for drying, machining and staining. The Lenga forests are managed under a sustainable forest harvest system.
LENGA is a species which optimizes color, grain characteristics and attractive price/quality relation, make it ideal for the production of high quality solid wood furniture. It has been chosen by prestigious furniture manufacturers all over the world as well as door manufacturers and for decorative moldings among other uses.

First Selection Grade (FAS)
Characteristics
This grade provides the user with long wide clear face cuttings, ideal for large cabinets, entry doors and millwork.
Minimum yield: 83%

Prime Grade (Common I Grade)
Characteristics
This grade provides the user with wide clear face cuttings ideal for medium cabinets, table tops, casegoods and medium size furniture components.
Minimum yield: 66%

Standard Grade(Common 2 Grade)
Characteristics
This grade provides the user with medium to short narrow clear face cuttings, ideal for drawer fronts, face frames, chair parts and partitions.
Minimum yield: 50%

Economic Grade(Common 3 Grade)
Characteristics
This grade provides the user with short narrow clear face cuttings, partitions, small components, finger joint blocks and furniture frames.
Minimum yield: 33%

Color Grade
Characteristics
This grade is ideal for furniture with dark finishes that require medium to short parts. Color and small tree grown irregularities (Wane) are not a defect.
Minimum yield: 50%
